Me, myself and I: the poem (2007)

Me, Myself, and I

Idealistic and realistic,

As free as the sky but locked in a cage,

One day positive, the other pessimist,

Kind towards people I like and mean towards the others,

Cool-blooded with grown-ups but impuslive with children,

Calm on a hand, yet childish on the other,

More of an artist today, a real scientific tomorrow,

like Yin and Yang,

I am full of opposites working together to be

ME

This poem was written as an exercise. My English teacher was new in school, so he didn't know any of us (as our school is kind of a close community, teachers are usually familiar with our faces even if they didn't teach us). Well, it's not as if we knew him either, so we were a bit uneasy.

Turned out he was a cool teacher, except for this time when he asked a poem of introduction from each and every of us.
